About Nothing Phone 2

  • The Nothing Phone 2 has a USB Type-C port for data syncing and charging. There is a fingerprint sensor present on the Nothing Phone 2 as well, along with a magnetic field sensor (compass), gyroscope sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer sensor. It is a dual SIM smartphone with support for 4G LTE, USB OTG, NFC and Wi-Fi too. The Nothing Phone 2 runs on Android 13 and all this is powered by a 4700 mAh battery. It measures 162.1 x 76.4 x 8.6 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 201.2 grams including battery.
  • This phone has a lot of character; You can choose how large an icon is on your home screen and add any quick settings as a widget on your home screen. The lock screen widgets stay visible all the time with the nice little dot matrix version on the always on display. There’s still the nothing dot fonts everywhere and the dot motif with the brightness slider and the volume slider.
  • Battery life on this new phone is much improved. It went up from a 4,500 to 4,700 milliamp power battery. It also went to a more power efficient newer chip and it’s bumped up to 45-watt peak charging. Even with the higher fresh rate on a higher screen brightness and all sorts of new apps like threads coming out. The Nothing Phone 2 can keep it going for six, seven hours of screen on time, no problem. And when you do plug into a fast charger it’s pretty quick. It can go from zero to full and an hour and there’s even 15-watt wireless charging. It’s the completely worry-free battery package.
  • The dual cameras still a primary camera and an ultra-wide no telephoto and they’ve upgraded sensors now, so 50 megapixels each, but it’s not, it’s not the number of pixels that matters, it’s the quality of them. So it’s more helpful context to know this is the Sony IMX eight 90 for the primary sensor, which is the same one that’s in the one plus 11 and the one plus Nod three. This is a very average camera system in perfect lighting like the aperture’s wide enough and the sensor’s big enough that you get some good-looking photos with shallow depth of field and when the subject is up close, they look good. Colors are solid and processing isn’t too dramatic.
